Thanks Dr. Oz
So I happen to watch the Dr. Oz show the other day and he was talking about things that may be keeping you from loosing weight that are 'out of your control'. One was hypothyroidism, which I found out I have last year. He had a GREAT analogy for it! He had two skillets on a stove, one burner was on, the other was not. He had two sticks of butter (fat). He put a stick in eat skillet. Obviously the butter in the skillet that was on started to sizzle and melt. This represented what a 'normal' thyroid does with fat in our bodies. The butter in the other skillet remained a full stick and this represented how a body with hypothyroid deals with fat. It was enough of a wake up call to me that I've started taking my thyroid medicine every morning again. I had stopped taking it a while ago, don't ask me why, I don't have a good reason. I'm not saying that's my entire problem, because there's WAY more to it than a bum thyroid. But, taking my meds so my thyroid is working right couldn't hurt the cause any. :) Thank you Dr. Oz.

That is a really good point. You know I have been HORRIBLE about taking my Vitamin D, mostly because in the back of my mind losing weight will take care of the problem, so it isn't really a problem.
I really need to be better about it. Heck the vitamins I have now are probably expired. Must look into that.
